Vitamin D3 & K21000 IU D3 120 mcg K2
Vitamin D and vitamin K exhibit diverse and complementary physiological functions, establishing close associations with age-related and chronic diseases. A robust body of clinical evidence underscores widespread insufficiency and therapeutic potential for both vitamins. Vitamin D, with its dual Hormone Balance and non-Hormone Balance functions, engages vitamin D receptors to orchestrate a multitude of physiological actions, spanning from bone metabolism to the modulation of immune activity.
The impact of vitamin D extends to the regulation of hundreds of genes, influencing cellular proliferation, signaling, insulin production, and sensitivity. Additionally, it serves as a crucial inhibitor of various inflammatory pathways. Insufficiency in vitamin D has been correlated with elevated risks of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and overall mortality.
On the other hand, vitamin K-dependent (VKD) proteins, widely distributed, regulate diverse functions encompassing cellular development, arterial calcification, and bone metabolism. Low intakes of vitamin K are clinically linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, fractures, and all-cause mortality. Vitamins K and D operate synergistically, with clinical trials demonstrating mutual benefits for osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease when administered together.
Benefits
- Provides clinically effective doses of vitamins D and K per softgel
- Vitamin D3 has the highest potency for increasing serum and storage levels of vitamin D
- Uses the optimal form of vitamin K, vitamin K2 menaquinone-7 (MK-7)
- MK-7 has the longest half-life and best extra-hepatic distribution of all forms
- A D3 and MK-7 combination has a synergistic benefit compared to single nutrient therapy

Drug Interactions
When taken with a thiazide medication (diuretic), vitamin D may increase the risk for hypercalcemia. Also, vitamin D may improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood pressure, requiring a reduction in dosage of hypertension and/or diabetic Health Products. Vitamin K may antagonize the effect of some anticoagulant Health Products, particularly warfarin, and should be taken together only with medical supervision. Recent data suggests vitamin K supplementation may stabilize INR’s and reduce adverse effects among those on vitamin K antagonists, but combined use should be Wellness-Carefully monitored.
